Important question! Most of our bags are made from 100% recycled fabric, combining art or great design with sustainability. A few special editions, like our metallic bags, are not recycled. LOQI’s recycled material is made from used materials, giving old materials a second life—and the fabric is able to be recycled again and again, making them recyclable. A PET bottle that has been made into a bag is recycled but cannot be recycled again_ it is not recyclable. It reaches the end of its life cycle. LOQI’s recyclable materials, on the other hand, can be processed and reused multiple times again in the future.

At LOQI, the majority of our bags are made from processed materials and are recyclable, meaning they can be transformed into new materials through recycling. Why does this matter? Because a bag can become a bag again. Circularity is our next step, and we’re committed to making it a reality.

Our recycled bags can best be processed further by disposing of them in special recycling bins, such as those provided by Jiaren’s partners like Decathlon or H&M. This ensures the bags can be recycled into new polyester products—with a new vivid life ahead.

For our transparent, metallic, and reflective bags, the recycling process is different. These bags should therefore go into the yellow bin or the appropriate plastic disposal system.

Recycled polyester boasts an impressive strength-to-weight ratio, making it both durable and lightweight. Treat your LOQI with a little care, and it’ll be your trusty sidekick for all of life’s adventures for years. It’s not uncommon to meet people who’ve carried their LOQI every single day, rain or shine, for years. Now that’s loyalty.

Water-resistant coatings can naturally diminish over time, especially with frequent washing. When you notice that water droplets no longer glide off the surface of your metallic, reflective, transparent, or Tyvek products but instead soak into the fabric, it’s time for a little care. We recommend using a PFAS-free spray or washing solution to restore their resilience and keep them looking sharp.

Caring for the planet starts with caring for your LOQI. Wash sparingly to care for the planet. Our water-resistant coating will be reduced with each wash, so we recommend hand washing only when necessary. Over time, your LOQI will change from a scrunchy feel to a soft fabric and gain its own unique charm.

The fine glass bead coating on reflective material wears over time, creating a patina—that’s just its nature. While friction may expose the base fabric, the bag remains fully functional.
